The Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory is located in the Elqui Valley, approximately 80 km from the city of La Serena, in the Coquimbo Region, Chile, at an altitude of 2200 meters above sea level. It is open to the public every Saturday of the year, with two free guided tours, at 9 am and 1 pm.

It is located in the coastal sector of the Antofagasta Region and has marine and terrestrial environments, so the fauna is diverse and abundant. Among the marine animals, we can mention the chungungo or sea otter, and the sea lion. In the coastal environment, there is also a large number of birds, such as gulls, terns, pelicans, cormorants, plovers, sandpipers and pilpilenes. La Campana National Park is a wilderness area protected by the State of Chile in the Valparaiso Region. It is one of the most representative natural areas of the flora and fauna of the central zone of the country. In addition, Unesco has declared this park, together with the area of Lake Peñuelas, a biosphere reserve. It stands out mainly for the "Palmar de Ocoa", one of the last natural forests of Chilean palm (Jubaea chilensis), a species endemic to Chile.
Conguillío National Park is located in the Araucanía Region, 148 km northeast of Temuco, Chile. The beauty of the park is due to its lakes and lagoons, the Llaima volcano, its native vegetation, highlighting the araucarias, ñirres, coihues, lengas, palos santos, raulíes, among others, which together with the varied plants and flowers make up one of the most visited parks in Chile.
