It’s in a quiet spot, but near to a whole variety of bars and restaurants and not too far from the city centre. The area has lots of painted houses, which give it a real charm. But what really stood out was the attitude of the staff. They were so helpful and friendly. In particular, Alex, Jorges and Veronica went out of their way for us. We really appreciated it! The staff are friendly and helpful - nothing is too much trouble . This is the second occasion I have stayed here and was very happy that I chose to stay here again . Thank you to all the wonderful staff ! Harrison H2025-02-22Verified PERFECT location, impeccable service Our experience here was incredible. No joke, probably the best POSSIBLE location to stay in Santiago. Somehow simultaneously quiet, 2 blocks from bars, clubs and restaurants on Pio Nono, across the street from TWO incredible fine dining restaurants (Selvado and Peumayan) and centrally located for tons of sightseeing. The service was nothing short of impeccable, typically reserved for much larger and more expensive accomodations. There is a front desk staffed 24/7, with staff able to help with recommendations, bookings, and anyhing else you need. Specific shout out to Veronica, who works the night shift. She was beyond helpful for our arrival and departure and was always cheerful. Would absolutely stay here again, 10/10 CaptChadOak2025-02-14Verified Nice boutique hotel in Bellavista, Santiago. We stayed at this hotel for a couple days before our trip to Patagonia. The hotel was once a mansion built for a merchant a very long time ago and later converted. ( they have the history available). It was decorated with a turn of the century kind of feel with antiques throughout. There was a guest lounge/ parlor on second floor where evenings there would be a wine hour, or pisco sour. The room was a good size, bed was comfortable and things like air conditioning worked fine. It is an older building, so there is no elevator, just stairs. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Erica and Miguel in the lobby were especially great!. The location was close to the funicular and about a 30 minute walk to Plaza de las Armas. Neighborhood was safe, just use normal precautions. Hotel had security gates. James B2025-01-29Verified Elegant hotel in Providencia, Bellavista, Santiago, Chile When I made plans to visit Santiago, Chile, I was worried about safety. There are issues about terrorism, earthquakes, and criminality. I wanted to stay in Bellevista. I thought that the staff at this hotel would take care of me. I was correct. I arrived on Thursday and departed the following Wednesday. The building has stood in place for a hundred years so it was strong enought to survive the past earthquakes. There were no earthquakes when I visited. The building has a locked gate. People who do not belong are not admitted through the gate. There is a reception on the ground floor with a water tank. Also the restaurant for breakfast 7-10:30 am is connected on the ground floor. The complementary breakfast included scrambled eggs with bacon, a plate of ham and cheese, a plate of fruit, avocadoes, and a basket of pastries. There also was coffee, espress, tea, water, juice, yogurt, and breakfast cereals. I enjoyed the daily breakfast. All rooms require climbing stairs. There are no elevators. People with mobility issues may not be able to go up and down without assistance. Rooms 1-5 are on the second floor, 6-12 on the third floor, 13-18 on the fourth floor, and 19, the hottest, on the fifth floor. I was in 15. The room was attractively decorated. The shower worked well. There was a peaked outpouching over one window. Although I am short, I routinely hit my head on the sloped ceiling there. Also the television monitor was near this sloped roof by the window. I often hit my head on the television monitor. There was a safe in the room large enough for my laptop computer. I simply placed the privacy sign on my door so I had no housekeeping or other visitors. The housekeepers provided clean towels. There was a living room on the second floor with seats for all. A table with coffee, tea, and water was available at all times in the living room. There was a computer in this living room. I used it to write manscripts in English. The keyboard was Spanish. Staff helped me to locate some symbols on the keyboard. There was a daily wine hour 5-6 pm with good red and white wine and nuts. All residents could attend this complementary event. I enjoyed going daily to meet the many travelers from around the world. Sometimes the group would continue conversations past 7 pm. There are many restaurants nearby. The staff recommend some that provide discounts. The furuncle to travel up the mountain in the park is a few blocks away. I enjoyed the trip to get panoramic views of Santiago. I walked in the neighborhood during the daytime to the subway without problems. There were some loud gatherings on the street 9:30 to 10 pm on Saturday and 3-5 am on Sunday. People were traveling to the nearby clubs. There was heavy street traffic on the weekend at night. During the day there was little traffic. The staff were wonderful. They provided a delightful vacation for me. I shall stay there when I return to Santiago.
